Our proposed pledge model
Tech and EV companies pledge $1 per phone or laptop and $20 per EV toward community-directed projects in Congo’s mining regions.
Research & Responsible Technology
We created and launched Tech Peace for Congo in March 2026 to connect the technology sector and consumer awareness with supply-chain responsibility and community-directed investment in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Proposed pledge model
A proposed participation model — a starting point for outreach and partnership conversations, not a report of funds collected.
We brought Tech Peace for Congo to the Congo Tech Expo in New York during United Nations General Assembly week on September 23, 2026, carrying our message on responsible technology and conflict minerals to a wider audience.
On September 8, 2026, our Founder & CEO met with the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Ambassador to the United States in Washington, DC, to share the thinking behind Tech Peace for Congo and Congo Evidence. We’re also building relationships with universities, including Eastern Mennonite University and a fall 2026 collaboration with James Madison University, connecting the technology sector with community-centered action.
Tech Peace for Congo draws on a broader set of institutional capabilities we’ve built: political-economy and conflict analysis, evidence literacy, public education, and community organizing around responsible technology and mineral supply chains. We’ve organized and taken part in conferences, delivered talks, attended meetings, and consulted on research-proposal design on topics including cobalt governance, 3T-mineral traceability, and company accountability.
This work connects to Congo Evidence Observatory’s source-linked conflict documentation, and to a public-education goal both initiatives share: helping audiences in the United States and the DRC understand the links between everyday technology, mineral supply chains, and community-directed investment.

Connecting everyday technology use with the supply chains behind it.
We’re exploring a 2027 Technology & Peace Conference as the campaign grows.
