Peacebuilding & Community Protection

Peace is practiced in conversation.

Community peacebuilding brings together faith leaders and community members for dialogues encouraging mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and social cohesion.

Dialogue as a peacebuilding practice

We bring faith and community leaders together to talk through tension points and shared concerns, aiming at mutual respect and coexistence rather than a single resolved outcome.

A recurring practice, not a side project

Community peacebuilding draws on dialogue approaches we have used in our Congo work for years — a recurring practice rather than an occasional outreach activity. We’ll publish current attendance and reach figures for this program as we verify them.

Faith and community together

Dialogues draw on respected local voices rather than outside mediators alone.

Coexistence over confrontation

The aim is social cohesion and mutual respect, not adjudicating any single dispute.

Independence preserved

We remain independent of political and armed factions in this work.
